The Older Child

The older child commonly has problems with incontinence at night called the nocturnal bladder and sometimes the older child has problems controlling their urine output in the daytime too. Manufacturers have designed a nice variety of pull ups for these children targeting specialized designs for both the male or female child. Urinary problems can be an emotional stress on the older child.  Finding pull-ups or a diaper to control the urinary incontinence can give them back their self esteem and freedom to be a child and stay overnight with their friends.

The nocturnal bladder leads to bedwetting which the child is not able to control.  Diapers are an easy fix for this problem until the child outgrows the immature bladder.  There is though, an increasing number of children wearing diapers to school due to the resistance by some children to potty train.  Wearing diapers all day long and not being changed properly can lead to urinary tract infections and skin sores.   If a child needs to wear diapers all day long, appropriate fit is very important to protect the skin and not have leakage which would lead to embarrassment from the classmates.  Diapers are a better answer than the child urinating in the pants.
