Paint the Room
Paint your walls to match your twin bedroom set.
The youth bedroom can be created to give ownership of their room. Let the youth design their own room starting with the color scheme followed with furniture like a twin bed set
Painting can be a lot fun, apply a solid color to the walls followed with sponge painting to give style to the plain colors. Sponge painting adds texture and depth to the walls. Purchase a nice sponge at the paint store that is not too big for the hands along with coordinating colors for design along with faux glaze.
Paint the walls in either a satin, semi gloss, or eggshell washable interior paint and let it dry at least overnight. You can find a paint at www.benjaminmoore.com. Then mix together one part paint and 4 parts faux glaze in a bucket large enough to stir easily. If the color is too light add more paint. Dip the sponge into the glaze wiping off the excess. Apply light pressure to the wall with the sponge, being careful not to apply too much paint so that it runs down the walls. Continue to paint the wall with the sponge using different techniques until you get the desired texture and design. A small sponge can be used for hard to reach areas and touch ups. Stand back and look at your design and be proud.
